traditional pub, convenient location, spacious rooms

The gardens need some serious attention!!! The rooms are in dire need of modern furniture and a fresh coat of paint. Not to mention the outdated and uncomfortable seating in the pub area!!!

    welcoming room
    helpful staff
    free parking
    small shower
    dated en-suite

I found the room clean and welcoming, though the en-suite could use updating. The shower was quite small, and water pressure left something to be desired. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful. I appreciated the free parking and easy access to buses for my trips into Cambridge, a real plus. Breakfast was cooked to perfection, but there were a few items missing. Dinner was nice, though I noticed my meal had been sitting out a bit longer than ideal, which affected the freshness. I felt comfortable, but a bit of restoration could enhance the pub's character greatly.

I found the room welcoming and the staff incredibly attentive. The convenience of having free parking and easy access to nearby buses made our stay enjoyable. I felt comfortable and well cared for throughout my time here.

The en-suite could use some updating.

    Charming atmosphere with welcoming staff

I really enjoyed my stay, especially the pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was made fresh to order, which made a great start to the day. I also loved the selection of quality ales at the bar, perfect for relaxing after exploring Cambridge. I think the room amenities could use a bit of updating to enhance comfort.

Just a nice choice for a city break in Cambridge with value for money. Staff organized a taxi for us, which was a big help. Arrive early to secure parking spots, as they can fill up fast.

    high price

Had a fantastic time with friends! We visited the nearby Grantchester and took a stroll through the picturesque countryside. The food was top-notch, and the service was friendly. Rooms were cozy and clean with a delicious breakfast included. Easy access to bus services made exploring a breeze!

The only downside was the price, which felt a bit high for what you get, but considering the location and amenities, it was manageable.

The location was perfect for us, really close to Cambridge. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The play area was a hit with the kids. Breakfast was decent, and the staff were kind and accommodating.

My kids wished there was a pool for them to splash around in during downtime.

comfortable stay with a few room improvements

The staff provided a warm welcome, ensuring that our check-in was smooth. We enjoyed the excellent real ale and found the atmosphere in the pub to be particularly inviting.

The room could benefit from more soundproofing.
